What is the client area ?
  IThis area is reserved for our clients. Right from your first order you have access to this part of the site where you will also find some very special offers.
 
How should I choose my password ?
 

IUpon ordering for the first time, you ask for a password. How should I choose it ? You choose your own password. We recommend you use a word that you are sure not to forget, you will therefore easily be able to enter the site again, using your own measurements and to change them if necessary.

Are the colours on the screen exactly what you get?
 

IUnfortunately, we have no control on the settings of each individual computer that connects to our site. Every picture has been optimised to be as close as possible to the real colour of our products on as many navigators and screens as possible.
IWe recommend that you ensure that your screen parameters are set to : real colour 32 bits.

   
What is the shopping basket ?
  IBuying on the internet is very fast, practical and secure. The shopping basket enables you to select the articles you wish during your visit to the Valmary site and also to discard them or increase their number as required. The shopping basket automatically calculates the total amount of your order so that you can see exactly what you have and how much you have spent. When you have finished, you can check the basket's content and proceed with payment.
   
Can I take items out of my shopping basket ?
  IYou may take items out of your shopping basket at any time. Simply click on the green shopping bag on the top right hand corner of your screen and you will see your basket. You can then discard the items that you don't wish to order.
   
If my measurements change, how can I update my file?
  IUse your name and password to enter the client area where you can update your measurements directly on the screen.
   
I use inches and not centimetres so how can I order on your site ?
  IWhen you enter your measurements, you can choose the system you prefer : centimetres or inches. You can use inches without any problem, our converter will calculate the equivalents in centimetres.
   
My order is to be delivered in an EC country, how do I settle the VAT ?
  IWithin the EC, all prices quoted are inclusive of taxes, we collect the VAT and pay the tax to the French treasury.
   
My order is being delivered outside the EC or in a French overseas territory, how do I settle the VAT and customs duties ?
  IYou must settle the taxes and duties applicable in the country of delivery upon reception of your order.
   
THE PRODUCTS
   
I made a mistake with my measurements, can I return my made to measure shirt ?
 

IWe advise you to read our general conditions of sale  , however, below is an extract :
IYou may return your made to measure shirt within 7 days of reception of your order. In order for us to be able to make alterations, you must attach a letter detailing you name, address, reception date and the dimensions required for alteration. Within the EC exclusively, only the return postage is at your expense, we will carry out the alterations and send back your shirt. Outside the EC, transport in both directions is at your expense, you should therefore forward the cost of returning your shirt along with the shirt itself. We advise you to read our general conditions of sale.

Do Valmary shirts require specific care ?
  INo, Valmary shirts do not require different or specific care. We recommend that you follow the washing instructions which are sewn into the hem of your shirt. We have selected machine washable fabrics. To lengthen your shirt's life, we advise you not to compact clothes into your washing machine and to dry them on a hanger or the back of a chair. Even though tumble drying is authorised, we recommend avoiding using one if possible. If you do wish to use a tumble dryer, take care to flatten out creases after removal from the washing machine so that it does not dry with creases or folds. This makes ironing easier.
   
Does "easy ironing" mean not having to iron at all ?
  IEasy iron or easy care materials have been especially treated to ease ironing. In spite of numerous tests of so-called "no-iron" fabrics, we do not know of any that maintain the supple qualities of cotton without requiring ironing after washing. We have therefore opted to favour fabrics that are pleasant to wear and which respect our high standards of comfort and style.
   
Where are your fabrics from ?
  IThe fabrics we use are purchased from the most renowned weavers in Italy, France and Great Britain.
   
How can stains be treated ?
 

IAs soon as a stain appears, try to blot it (do not rub) with a tissue or absorbent paper. Do not let the stain dry.
IBall point pen : blot the stain with methylated spirits and wash your shirt.
IEgg yellow : do not wait for the egg yellow to dry. Wash your shirt after washing the stain with warm soapy water.
IEgg white : can be removed with cold water.
IGrease stains : stain remover is ideal.
ICoffee: the most common cause of stains ! ! ! Quickly apply soap and wash. Do not let it dry.
IFruit : these stains, even though particularly difficult to remove, can be removed with cold water.if you act quickly.
IBlood : Blood stains can be removed relatively easily with cold or warm water. Do not use hot water as this fixes the stain ! ! ! Older stains come out after washing if a sufficiently powerful detergent is used.

   
How can I buy cloth covers for my shirts ?
  IYou can order shirt covers directly from the site. In the accessories section
   
Where are Valmary shirts made ?
  IValmary shirts are made in our workshop in Carcassonne which is a village in south-east France, a few kilometres outside Carcassonne. This workshop was created in 1972 and has been specialised in making shirts from the beginning. In addition to shirts, we make cloth covers and bath robes for travelling.
   
How long before I receive my order ?
  IIf you order several articles, your whole order whole be sent in one go. Delivery times are indicated on the site. The delivery schedule will depend on the mode of transport that you have selected.
   
ORDERING
   
Can I pay by cheque ?
  IYes, if it is a French cheque (drawn on a French bank). Place your order on our site and select payment by cheque and validate. An order confirmation then appears with a number, print two copies of this and send one of them with your cheque made out to 'Valmary sur mesure'.

Can I order by fax with my credit card ?
  IYou can order by fax. Place your order on our internet site and select credit card payment by fax. At the end of your order entry, an order confirmation will be displayed. Print it, fill out the form and fax it to us on (France 04.68.78.72.85 - international 33.4.68.78.72.85).
I Delivery dates are effective upon reception of payment.
   
Do you deliver world wide ?
  IYes, We can delivery anywhere in the world by express or standard delivery, as you choose. We cannot, however, deliver to countries which are subject to a French or EC embargo.
   
Can I visit your workshop ?
 

IOur region is very popular with tourists and we are always delighted to welcome our clients. However, please telephone before coming so that we can do our best to prepare a welcome for you in our offices.

If I am not in on the delivery day, what happens ?
  IIf your package has been delivered by the postal services, the postman will leave notification that your parcel awaits you at the post office. If an express delivery service has been used, the delivery driver will leave notification with a telephone number so that you can arrange for a new delivery time.

Is payment by credit card on internet safe ?
 

IAs soon as the time comes to give your credit card number, the site is automatically secured. You can verify that it is secured either by looking at your navigator, the http:// changes to https://, or to the key on the screen which becomes complete or the padlock which is closed, depending on the type of navigator. These are displayed in a little window at the bottom of your screen.
ISecuring payment on a site means encrypting information so that only you and us may read it.
IWe have opted for the SSL system (Secure Sockets Layer).
ICommunicating encrypted information on-line is as secure as transmitting by telephone or fax.

TRANSPORT AND PACKAGING
   
Will my order be well packed for transport ?
  IWe have spent a lot of time in studying the best adapted packaging for shipping your orders. Shirts are systematically sent in an anonymous brown cardboard box (no brand names appear on the packaging for transport security). An individual mousse cover protects the shirt in the box. Made to measure shirts are delivered in a beautiful individual cloth cover. If you would like to purchase additional covers, you may order them on-line from our site ( FAIRE LIEN).

Comment suivre mon colis ?
  ICertains transporteur disposent d'un site internet sur lequel vous pouvez suivre votre colis, grâce au numéro (tracking number) que nous vous enverrons par email dès l'expédition de votre commande. Si le transporteur ne dispose pas de se service, vous pouvez nous contacter, nous ferons le maximum pour vous transmettre l'information.

The international zone prices include all the deliveries outside the European Economic Community (France, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Danmark, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Netherlands) french DOM TOM are considered as the international zone.

_
EEC Zone
The EEC zone prices include all the deliveries in the European Econmic Comunity (France, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Danmark, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Netherlands), all the duties ans taxes are included in the prices of the site. French DOM TOM are considered as the international zone.





 
 
How to choose the right collar

If you have :
_A round, wideish face, choose long collars, such as the V almary collar, button-down collars and generally long collars. Avoid Vnetian, and particularly Italian-type collars with widely-spaced tips.
_A longish face, go for the English, Italian, Venetian or Valmary collars. These will make your face seem less long.
_A long neck, choose the English collar. Do not hesitate to increase the height of the collar base, i.e. the strip that goes round your neck and tells you your neck size, when you give your measurements.
_A short neck, most of your shirts probably irritate you around the neck.
Do not hesitate to shorten the height of the collar base, i.e. the strip that goes round your neck and tells you your neck size, when you give your measurements. Avoid collars such as the English collar that cover the neck and collars with widely-spaced tips, such as the Venetian or Italian models.
